92/100 — The Wine Front · 2010 Vintage

91/100 — Gismondi on Wine · 2010 Vintage · Tasted: Mar 2015
“Big boysenberry, blueberry jam, cassis, tobacco, light barnyard, peppery, clove aromas with an earthy, floral note. Ripe, round, full, suave and juicy palate with light tannins. Savoury, chocolate, peppery, cassis, licorice, earthy cove, blueberry, vanilla, menthol and tobacco flavours. Good finesse and length but slightly hollow mid-palate. Drinking well but should improve somewhat. (Stuart Tobe).”

About This Wine

Keyneton Euphonium is a blend of shiraz from vines up to 50 years old growing in the Eden and Barossa Valleys, combined with cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc from selected vineyards in both regions.

The wine takes its name from the Barossa hills village of Keyneton, pioneered by pastoralist Joseph Keynes in 1842.

Keyneton was a musical and cultural focus for early settlers and home to the Henschke Family Brass Band and Henschke winery.
