Its east-facing slopes, grey-brown clay loam and underlying volcanic soils, together with the cool Upper Yarra climate, create a long growing season particularly well suited to Pinot Noir.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2024 vintage delivered beautifully balanced fruit with excellent flavour concentration and natural acidity. The fruit was hand-picked and carefully sorted before fermentation, with 40% whole bunches incorporated to build aromatic complexity and structure. The wine was matured for 10 months in French oak, including 15% new oak, allowing subtle savoury and spicy complexity to develop without overwhelming the purity of the fruit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHighly perfumed and finely detailed, the 2024 Applejack Pinot Noir shows red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry alongside rose petal, dried herbs and fragrant spice. Subtle forest-floor and mineral characters add further complexity. The palate is elegant yet concentrated, with bright red fruit framed by fine, silky tannins and vibrant acidity.
