During maturation, Ringland identified two of four barrels as more fruit-forward and less brooding than the others and decided to create a second label. These barrels were bottled after 24 months, marking the birth of Randall's Hill.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe wine was named in honour of Thomas Randall, who purchased the property and planted the vineyard in 1910. Randall's Hill was initially presented as a three-bottle pack.
