Henschke rates 1998 as an excellent vintage for Abbotts Prayer.

After more than 25 years of bottle ageing, the wine is now fully mature. Expect aromas and flavours of plum, blackcurrant and dark berries alongside cedar, leather, truffle, dried herbs and gentle spice. The palate is elegant and savoury, with softened tannins and a long, mature finish.

For a wine of this age, storage history and bottle condition are particularly important.
